In 2021, NFTs were exploding into culture, and Twitter was at the center of the conversation.
We wanted to participate in that conversation in a way that felt unmistakably Twitter.
So we created The 140 Collection: seven original NFT artworks, with 140 editions given away to 140 people from the Twitter community.
The number wasn't arbitrary. 140 was a nod to Twitter's original character limit, and a piece of the platform's history.
I led the creative direction, working with seven artists to create a collection that reimagined the Twitter brand through their individual styles.
Rather than selling the work, we gave it away to people already participating in the conversation.
A little piece of Twitter history, made for the people who made Twitter.
